Once I did so, the option to assign MitB appeared in slots 6 and 7 of my custom show. I was then able to re-add the default MitB to Smackdown. Go to edit show > championships > select the MiTB slot and change the briefcase to your custom one. I'm like 95% sure that's what corrupted my Universe, had to start over..
